摘要 Prepn. of a liqueur from an alcohol/sugar mixt. to which flavourings are added comprises the addn. of 30-70 vol.% beer (w.r.t. initial quantity of mixt.). Also claimed is the appts. for carrying out the above process. PREFERRED MATERIALS - Black beer is used in the process. The starting material comprises black beer and sugar as flavourings. Other flavourings, namely, cloves, vanilla pods or cinnamon sticks are later added to the alcohol component of the starting mixt. PREFERRED PROCESS - The starting mixt. is: (i) heated to or near its b.pt. for /- 15 mins. to expel carbonic acid dissolved in the beer; (ii) filtered; (iii) cooled; (iv) approx. pure (/- 90%) alcohol added at /- 1 l per 2 l black beer; and (v) allowed to mature for a set length of time (pref. /- 3 months) in a sealed and/or darkened container.
