PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a battery negative electrode using a hydrogen storage alloy which has high initial activity and is suitable for a high capacity and long-lived sealed battery. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a battery negative electrode which comprises supporting a LmNi5 hydrogen storage alloy powder on an electric conductive support body by a binder, a mixed powder of a condensed rough particle having a particle size of 45μm or more and a non-condensed fine particle having a particle size less than 45μm is used as the hydrogen storage alloy powder. |
