PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector for a flat type flexible cable to which a ground connecting function is applied by forming a slider of metal and has high reliability in electric connection. CONSTITUTION: Contacts 22 in two rows are arranged in opposed positions in a housing 20. A slider 40 is formed in a cross-sectional almost T shape integrally molded by punching a metallic plate. Flexible printed wiring boards (flat type flexible cables) 60 are arranged on both sides of the slider 40. Grounding wiring is formed on the reverse 70b and 72b of the printed wiring boards 60, and is electrically contacted with the slider 40. A grounding conductive member 24 is fixed to both side surfaces 20a of the housing 20, and when the slider 40 is inserted into the housing 20, the slider 40 and the grounding conductive member 24 are contacted with each other, and grounding connection is performed. |
