CONSTRUCTION TO PREVENT GROUND FAULT FOR JUMPER WIRE

PURPOSE: To prevent the ground fault of a jumper wire by installing a bar member on columns of a steel gantry structure in an electrically insulated state and by making the distance between the bar member and each point on the bottom surface of a beam of the gantry steel structure exceeds the longest distance which causes a flashover between the beam and the jumper wire. CONSTITUTION: Each end of suspension members 3 such as insulators is connected to respective anchor clamps 2 at both the ends of a jumper wire 1, and other ends of the suspension members 3 are respectively supported by a beam 5 of a steel gantry structure 4. A bar member 6 is extended through a space surrounded by the two suspension members 3 and the jumper wire 1, and both the ends of the bar member 6 are attached to a column 7 of the steel gantry structure 4 in a state of electrical insulation from the column 7. And the distance t between the bottom face of the bar member 6 attached to the column 7 and the bottom face of the beam 5 exceeds the longest distance at which a short-circuit cannot occur between the beam 5 and the jumper wire 1. By doing this, the ground fault of the jumper wire 1 can be prevented.
