PURPOSE: To surely and stably form a uniform and thin toner layer over a long period without generating stripe-like unevenness on a toner carrier even in the case of using one-component magnetic toner of small particle diameter and containing wax, as for a one-component developing device. CONSTITUTION: The wax-contained one-component magnetic toner 6 having an average particle diameter <=8μm and also having a 5μm under amount <=30wt.% is used, also, the contact line pressure of a layer forming member 5 with the toner holding body 3 is 30 to 100gf/cm, and also, the magnetic force of the toner carrying pole 4a of a magnet member 4 arranged at a position near the upstream side of the contact part 9 with the layer forming member 5 on the toner holding body 3 is 30 to 65mT. |
