PURPOSE: To easily focus, to shorten the time required for focusing and also to prevent finder zooming at the time of focusing. CONSTITUTION: The focusing device of a zoom camera possesses a zoom lens system having plural lens groups including a focusing lens group, a zoom cam barrel 62 moving the lens group in the direction of a photographing optical axis by rotating itself for variable magnification, a straight advance guiding means M guiding so as to move the lens group in the direction of the photographing optical axis by the rotation of the zoom cam barrel 62, a focusing means K enabling the focusing lens group to independently move in the direction of the photographing optical axis, a zoom driving means N driving the zoom cam barrel, a zoom controlling means O having a stepwise variable magnification position and controlling the zoom driving means N and rotate-adjusting the zoom cam barrel at the stepwise variable magnification position so as to adjust for a specified focal position and a zoom stop position storing means P storing the specified focal position where the zoom cam barrel is rotate- adjusted at the stepwise variable magnification position. |
