PURPOSE: To obtain the optical exchange system being a communication system where plural terminal equipments make communication via the optical exchange and data collision is avoided by applying division multiplexing to a wavelength. CONSTITUTION: Terminal equipments 1101-1103 are provided with transmitters 1111, 1121, 1131 and receivers 1112, 1122, 1132 respectively. An optical exchange 13 is provided with transmission line switches 1311-1313, non-delay transmission lines 1321-1323, delay transmission lines 1331-1333, photocouplers 1341-1343, an optical switch 136 and a controller 137. The transmission of data outputted from the terminal equipments 1101-1103 is controlled by a controller 137 based on the priority of each terminal equipment and data are exchanged. When data collision takes place, because data signals with low priority are delayed by the non-delay transmission lines 1321-1323, the collision is avoided. |
