The present device is used for producing a stack of coaxial cup-shaped receptacles fitted in one another and each having a side wall at one end of which a base is disposed and at the other end of which a flange (1) is disposed. The receptacle is made of a flexible material and the flange (1) is substantially more rigid than the side wall and base. In order that the cup-shaped receptacles, which can only be fitted in one another in small quantities owing to their shape, can be assembled to form relatively long stacks of at least 20 receptacles, the closure plate (9) of a gastight housing (8) has at least one cup-shaped element (16) which is arranged to be movable intermittently in its longitudinal direction (12) up to a maximum stroke (h), which is equal to the maximum height of the flange area of the receptacle stack. The aperture of the element (16) is designed and arranged to accommodate and support in a flush manner the flange (1) of the first outer receptacle in the stack and in the initial position (I) is disposed, before the first movement, in the region of the closure plate (9) so as to be accessible from outside the housing (8), whilst the base of the element (16), which is opposite the aperture, is directed towards the interior (18) of the housing (8). At least one gas outlet duct (22'), which connects the space (23) surrounding the outer surface of the receptacle stack to the interior (18) of the housing (8), is provided in the inner wall (15) of the housing (8), which wall at least partially surrounds the outer surface of the element (16), which surface is in the shape of a cylindrical casing.
