PURPOSE: To surely detect all conference attendants without using any high-level technology such as conventional image processing and to automatically obtain a proper image irrelevantly to the distances to and the angles of the positions. CONSTITUTION: Weight sensors 1a-10a are incorporated in chairs 1-10 arranged behind conference tables 12 and 12 and connected to the camera controller of a television conferencing device 13 through cables 1b-10b and bundled cables 11a, 11b, and 11. When a setter sits on an optional chair, the weight sensor of the chair sends a signal to the camera controller and when the setter operates a remote controller for seat position measurement, a signal is sent to the camera controller through a seat distance measuring instrument and a seat angle measuring instrument. The camera controller controls the angle, zoom ratio, and focal length of a television camera. |
