<p>A novel multi-layered system for waterproofing and sealing a rigid structural unit using as a first coat a styrene polymeric film cast from an organic solvent and an elastomeric overcoat applied thereon is described. The first coat is easily maintained as damaged areas and imperfections can be repaired by simply applying additional liquid composition to the damaged area, and the liquid composition remelts the existing film allowing the newly formed film to be continuous. The overcoat adds crack bridging properties to the first coat without bladdering. Novel methods relating to the use of the system are also described.</p> |
