PURPOSE: To obtain a firing drier constituted so as to stabilize quality of tea leaf by especially circulating combustion gas into a drum. CONSTITUTION: This firing drier 1 is equipped with a recycling mechanism 5 which is rotatably provided with a drum 3 to a machine frame 2, provided with plural burner 4 groups below the drum 3, capable of firing tea leaf in the drum 3 by heating the drum 3 by direct fire of the burner 4 and introduces a combustion gas for heating the drum 3 into the drum 3, and a far-infrared ray generator 53 provided in the ejection port. In a stirring projection provided in a carrying lib formed in the inner circumferential face of the drum 3, contact angle of a carrying face with the inner circumferential face of the drum 3 is in the range of 30 deg.±5.
