An interrogation system, for an automated entertainment system operated by a coin-operated meter, comprises a control unit with microcomputer, operational data storage device, a data input/output interface, with data acquisition sensors for detecting opening of the entertainment device or withdrawal of a coin collection point. An output signal of the sensor (29) arranged on the scale of coin collection point is supplied to a data concentrator (7) from which identification data is switched to a data release device (30) on the side of the automated entertainment system. Stored operational data is then switched to the data concentrator (7) with acceptance of the identification data.
