PURPOSE: To previously control a traveling state in accordance with a pereceived sense by a driver or to warn the driver when a vehicle enters a road area such as a curve which requires attention as for a controller corresponding to a road state ahead of an automobile which is used for the generation of an alarm to a driver immediately before entry into a curve and the control of vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION: The controller is provided with a curve detecting means 20 for detecting a curve on a road ahead of a vehicle, a judging means 30 for judging whether the current speed of the vehicle is too high or not at the time of entering into the detected curve and an inconformity control means 40 for generating an alarm at the time of judging too high speed of the vehicle or controlling the traveling state of the vehicle. The means 30 is set up so as to judge the speed of the vehicle entering into the curve by taking into account the sense of dangerousness of speed on the curve.
