PURPOSE: To obtain a therapeutic agent useful for mental disorder symptoms involved in cerebrovascular diseases (e.g. problem behaviors, emotional disorders), containing, as the essential ingredient, a compound capable of blocking both serotonin-2 receptor and dopamine D2 receptor. CONSTITUTION: This therapeutic agent contains, as the essential ingredient, a compound capable of blocking both serotonin-2 receptor and dopamine D2 receptor, pref. a compound selected from SM-9018 of formula I, risperidone of formula II, diprasidone hydrochloride (CP-88059-01) of formula III, ocaperidone of formula IV (R-79598), etc., esp. pref. SM-9018 of formula I. The permissible effective amount of the compound per adult a day is pref. about 0.05-500 (esp. pref. about 0.2-50)mg, for example, in the case of SM-9018 for oral administration, pref. 0.5-10mg a day per adult. |
