<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the mechanism of an occupant crash protection device having a side airbag and an air belt, and a seat bag, if necessary. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant crash protection device comprises an air belt 20 having an inflation part 23 provided along a lap part 22a of a webbing 22, a side airbag 30 inflated between an occupant and a side face of a cabin, and an inflator (a gas generator) 40 to inflate the inflation part 23 of the air belt 20 and the side airbag 30. The side airbag 30 is communicated with the inflation part 23 of the air belt 20. Gas from the inflator 40 is first introduced into the inflation part 23 of the air belt 20, and then, introduced in the side airbag 30 via the inflation part 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
