PURIFYING TREATMENT APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To improve the stability of a purifying treatment apparatus in a state floated on the surface of the water to be treated and to ensure watertightness thereof by forming a float floated on the surface of the water to be purified into a hermetically closed structure and housing an air supply means in the float. CONSTITUTION: The space between a bottomed cylindrical outer member 2 having water gathering holes 1 and a water gathering pipe 4 having water passing holes 3 is packed with charcoal 5 being a contact filter material to constitute a treatment bed 6. Further, a lift pipe 7 is provided in the water gathering pipe 4 of the treatment bed 6 and an air introducing pipe 9 having nozzle 8 provided to the leading end thereof is provided to the lift pipe 7 to constitute an air lift pump. The water to be treated under the surface 13 of the water to be treated is sucked by the air lift action of the air lift pump to be emitted to the surface 13 of water and passed through charcoal 5 and a housing 15 is fixed to the float 14a having hermetically closed structure floated on the surface 13 of the water to be treated and air is supplied to the air lift pump by an air compressor being the air supply means housed in the float. Therefore, the air compressor can be made watertight and the balance of the whole of the apparatus can be taken.
