TREATING AGENT FOR SYNTHETIC FIBER AND SYNTHETIC FIBER COMPRISING THE SAME TREATING AGENT APPLIED THERETO

PURPOSE: To obtain a treating agent for a polyamide fiber or a polyester fiber capable of improving the drawability, heat resistance and adhesion to rubber by preparing a lubricant component and an emulsifying component of a nonionic surfactant. CONSTITUTION: An treating agent for a synthetic fiber is prepared by blending 50-70wt.% neopentyl glycol oxypivalate ester as a lubricant component with 15-30wt.% polyhydric alcohol alkylene oxide adduct (5-15 number of added mol) and polyhydric alcohol alkylene oxide adduct ester (5-25 number of added mol) as an emulsifying agent and 0-35wt.% other components so that the mixture comprising the components may account for >=90wt.% of the whole treating agent. The resultant treating agent has <=-20mV value ofζ-potential. The prepared treating agent in an amount of 0.3-2.0wt.% is applied to a polyamide fiber or a polyester fiber.
