PURPOSE: To easily assemble the connector with no insert molding processed by providing a cover which folds a flexible flat cable along the peripheral section of a presser member, and presses it onto a holder to fix it thereto, and also providing a terminal which puts conductors exposed out of the end of the cable in connection. CONSTITUTION: A holder 18 is provided for the end section of a flexible flat cable 13, and a presser member 19 is brought into contact with the cable 13 positioned at the holder 18. This constitution thereby allows the peripheral section 19a of the member 19 to cross obliquely the band shaped surface 13d of the cable 13. The cable 13 is then folded along the peripheral section 19a of the presser member 19. This causes the band shaped surface 13d of the cable 13 to change its direction to a specified one. A cover 20 is fixed to the holder 18 in such a way that the cable 13 is pushed onto the holder 18. Conductors A are connected to terminals B by welding and the like. By this constitution, the connector can thereby be assembled with no insert molding processed, and the manufacture of the connector is thereby made easy. |
