FIELD: production of sheet glass; may be used in protection of glass from corrosion and damage during transportation and storage. SUBSTANCE: method consists in use of powdery spacing material and includes operations for application of spacing powder to glass surface, redistribution of powdery particles over the surface to the required uniformity with simultaneous fastening to it. For preservation of glass integrity use is made, preferably, of powdery materials in the amount of 0.5 g/sq.m and less since such a distribution does not complicate control for glass defects and its processing into articles. But such a small amount ensures efficient protection provided the particles are uniformly distributed over the glass surface. Uniformity of particle distribution on the glass surface is regulated by the degree of ionization of supplied air (by field intensity and charge current), and also by the intensity of air jets determined by its flow rate, pressure and hole cross-section through which air is supplied. EFFECT: higher efficiency. |
