PURPOSE: To provide a spatial filter type moving amount measuring device which accurately measures relative moving amount with little cumulative errors and is detachable from a control signal system with no need of taking out speed signal of a car from a control circuit for engine control even when a car navigation system is installed on the car. CONSTITUTION: An object to be measured 1 is irradiated with light from a light source 2, and with the use of a spatial filter optical system 3, signal of specific spatial frequency component is extracted out of reflected light from the object 1 to be measured. The output signal is a value related to relative moving amount against the object 1, so that the relative moving amount is measured with no contact with the object. And, using position information for a car detected by GPS or that found from moving amount and travelling direction of the car by the spatial filter type moving amount measuring device, a car navigation system is constituted. |
