PURPOSE: To improve antenna gain by providing a dielectric wall only under a microstrip line conductor to reduce the dielectric loss. CONSTITUTION: This antenna is provided with a microstrip line(MSL) 3 formed by a conductor film fixed onto an earth conductor 1 made of a conductor plate by adhesive or the like and coated onto an upper face of a thin dielectric wall 2 and a caption Fp indicates a feed point. Since the dielectric wall 2 is provided under the MSL 3, the line wavelength of the MSL 3 is reduced. Moreover, the dielectric body is not entirely provided on the face of the earth conductor 1 but provided as the dielectric wall 2 only beneath the MSL 3, then the dielectric loss is reduced. Thus, the MSL antenna gain is improved, where the dielectric body is provided over the entire face of the earth conductor and even when the antenna gain is deteriorated due to natural conditions such as rainfall, an image signal with excellent quality is received. |
