PURPOSE: To reduce noise by a simple configuration which is caused by the vibration of housing periodically created in response to the rotation of a rotor, by providing means for absorbing the vibration of a stator between the stator and the housing. CONSTITUTION: Absorbing means 21 comprising an airtight cylindrical groove 22 formed on the inner peripheral surface of a housing 11 and an absorbing material 23 such as grease having a high thermal conductivity which fills said cylindrical groove is provided between the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical housing 11 of a switched reluctance motor and the outer peripheral surface of a stator 12. By doing this, most of vibration in the radial direction of the stator 12 created by the sudden returning of strain in the stator 12 after diminishing of absorbing force of a rotor 17 can be absorbed by the absorbing means 21, and the noise generated by the vibration of the housing 11 can be reduced. |
