A pressurised fluid railway brake valve including connecting means (1, 2, 3, 4) for connection to a general duct, a control reservoir, an auxiliary reservoir and brake members. A main device and a device for isolating the control reservoir (5') control the flow of fluid from connecting means (1) to connecting means (2). The valve comprises a channel (12) linking connecting means (1) to connecting means (3) via a throttle portion (23), and an overload protector (7) controlling the flow of fluid from said isolating device (5') to connecting means (2), depending on the ratio between the pressure in connecting means (1) and the pressure in said channel (12), between said throttle portion (23) and connecting means (3).
