<p>A door lock assembly with an adjustable backset includes an elongated latch bolt 12 having an end portion 122 formed with axially spaced and aligned first and second protrusions, 128 and 129, and front and rear engaging grooves, 126 and 127. A movable member 21 has an end plate 210 with a through-hole 211 which receives, axially and rotatably, the end portion 122 and has a radially extending notch 212 to admit the protrusions 128, 129. The backset can be adjusted by rotating the bolt to align the protrusions 128, 129 with the notch 212, axially moving the bolt to engage the end plate 210 within a selected one of the grooves 126, 127, and rotating the bolt to prevent axial movement out of the selected groove. <IMAGE></p> |
