SEMIRIGID CONTROLLABLE AIRSHIP

FIELD: airships with disk-shaped casing and semirigid airships with thermal ballasting. SUBSTANCE: airship has disk-shaped casing with rigid load-bearing outer framework located over its periphery and forming its edge; secured on outer frame by means of inner suspension made of longitudinally rigid members is hollow rigid load-bearing inner framework; airship has outer envelope which consists of upper and lower envelopes; gas bottles filled with lighter-than-air gas are arranged inside casing; cargo section is located in inner skeleton; fairing secured on outer framework forms relatively sharp edge of casing. Airship has control cabin, power plant and control equipment. Relative thickness of casing ranges from 0.30 to 0.45. Outer framework is made in form of torus whose eccentricity ranges from 0.025 to 0.050; height of inner framework does not exceed 0.5 of height of casing. Arranged inside casing is diaphragm made in form of surface generated by rotation of curve of at least second order. Diaphragm is secured on outer framework and inner skeleton and divides interior into lighter-than-air gas chamber and heated gas chamber which is provided with devices for supply and discharge of heated gas and overboard air; located in lighter-than-air gas chamber is central compartment provided with reservoir for lighter-than-air gas which is secured on upper envelope and inner skeleton. Upper envelope is provided with strengthening member at point where it central compartment is secured. Gas bottles are secured on load- bearing members of inner skeleton and are fixed on outer envelope. Longitudinally rigid members of inner suspension are secured in pairs at one end; at other end, they are secured tangentially on load-bearing members of inner skeleton at diametrically opposite points.
