PURPOSE: To easily produce the subject compound from an inexpensive raw material in high efficiency by reacting an alkane with carbon dioxide in the presence of a palladium or copper-based catalyst and a peroxyacid salt or oxygen. CONSTITUTION: The objective compound can be,produced by reacting (A) an alkane such as chain alkane or cyclic alkane with (B) carbon dioxide in the presence of (C) a palladium-based catalyst [e.g. Pd(O2 CCH3 )2 , Pd(02 CCF3 )2 , Pd(O2 CC2 H5 )2 , Pd(O2 CC3 H7 )3 or PdCl2 ] or a copper-based catalyst (e.g. copper acetate or copper sulfate) and (D) a peroxyacid salt (e.g. ammonium peroxydisulfate, sodium peroxydisulfate, potassium peroxydisulfate or potassium peroxydiphosphate). The amount of the component C is 1×10<-5> to 1×10<-1> mol based on the component A. |
