The present invention is related to a design and construction of a test bench for compliance assessment of cold fresh water meters with diameters from one and a half to four inches. The object of this invention is to provide a device wherein the pressure loss, the reverse flow and the accelerated wear of test specimens can be safely and effectively verified on a metal structure; a tank with a storage capacity capable of evaluating meters whose diameter ranges from one and a half to four inches; a tank with a capacity of seven cubic meters; a pumping system which makes it possible to reach the test costs for meters whose diameter ranges from one and a half to four inches, as established by Mexican norm NOM-012-SCFI-1994; a control panel that allows the pumps used for the evaluation to start and stop working; pressure taps integral with the test trains, allowing measuring the pressure upstream and downstream of each one of the evaluation specimens; a sight glass allowing to determine th e water volume in the tank by using a measuring tape.
