The present invention is to minimize the size of a robot. The robot according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first arm; a second arm; and a braking mechanism. The first arm is provided to rotate around a first shaft. The second arm is connected to the first arm to be shaken around a second shaft. The braking mechanism is provided between a base end and a front end in the first arm, and brakes the second arm. In addition, the robot further comprises a second actuator which rotates the second arm, and the second actuator, the second arm, and the braking mechanism are sequentially disposed in this order in a widthwise direction that is perpendicular to the extension direction of the first arm. |
