PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a magnet with a size for circulating the entire periphery of an end ring part and an adhesive material and a method for fixing the magnet by providing a protruding part at the end ring of the rotor of an electric motor and fitting a magnet with a size which does not fit the entire periphery of the end ring. CONSTITUTION: A convex part 15 which is inserted through the inner-diameter hole of a magnet 11 and can be fixed by caulking is provided in one piece with an end ring part 14 at the end ring part 14 of a rotor 3. The inner-diameter hole of the magnetized magnet 11 is passed through the convex part 15 and the tip of the protruding part is fixed by caulking, thus eliminating the need for the magnet 11 for detecting an output speed using a Hall IC to be in a size for circulating around the entire periphery of the end ring part 14 and further the need for a material such as an adhesive for fixing the magnet 11 to the end ring part 14 and a method. |
