摘要 The arrangement has a pump light device to stimulate a laser active material in glass fibres (3) preferably combined into a bundle (2). The fibres are formed of an axial core and a cladding is provided around the core. The core is thicker than the cladding. The cladding contains the laser active material and it has a higher refractive index than the core. It also has a small wall thickness for generating laser beams with monomodal characteristics. The core is formed as a leakage waveguide. The pump light (8) from the end of the glass fibres is coupled into the core. The glass fibres (3) preferably have a protective sleeve whose refractive index and thickness match the corresponding parameters of the cladding.
