FIELD: superconductor engineering. SUBSTANCE: lengthened superconductor is produced by placing anisotropic particles possessing superconductor properties or those capable of becoming superconducting upon appropriate treatment into ductile-metal tube, compacting and compressing this tube into lengthened form in one of more compression steps. At least one of these compression steps are made during rotary forging, better by current at which one of plates is stationary at least concerning its ability to turn; movable plate turns about first axis inclined at certain angle alpha to approaching force direction; first axis turns about second one which is practically aligned with approaching force direction so as to provide twisting. Rotary forging may be either gradually enhanced or quasi-continuous. EFFECT: improved orientation of plate-like superconducting particles in axial direction, as compared to standard rolling, which increases critical current density. |
