FIELD: metallurgy, blast-furnace graphitized conversion pig-iron used for replacement of cast pig iron makes in production of metallurgical and mechanical engineering casting. SUBSTANCE: aim is to neutralize pig iron tendency to chill and to increase its strength and ductility characteristics. Aim is achieved due to the fact, that graphitized pig iron has components of carbon, silicon, manganese, titanium, nitrogen and iron in following ratio, mass %: carbon - 4.25 - 4.5, silicon - 0.81 - 1.2, manganese - 0.1 - 0.8, titanium - 0.01 - 0.1, nitrogen - 0.002 - 0.009, iron - balance. In the case share of bound carbon is 0.4 - 0.8 % and ratio of bound carbon to carbon of graphite is 0.1 - 0.23. EFFECT: neutralized pig iron tendency to chill, increased its strength and ductility features. |
