<p>A board game is described which comprises a board and a plurality of playing pieces. Preferred embodiments of the board game include a board including a ten by ten grid, and two sets of playing pieces. Each set of playing pieces includes ten sols, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, two princes, one queen and one king. Each piece moves over the board in accordance with a set of pre-defined movements. The game is envisaged to be played between two players (or sets of players), each taking a turn to move one (or more) of his or her pieces. The aim of the game is to either check-mate the opponents king, or to cause the opponent to run out of a predetermined allocation of time. Various other embodiments are also discussed.</p> |
