Remains of contents of containers and bottles which were previously tightly sealed before partial dispensing are preserved to prevent oxidn. by re-sealing. Pref. air that has entered is evacuated and N2 is injected at elevated pressure before closing and sealing. A two-way catheter may be used, one way having a crushable tube and the other providing a route for N2 to pass. A skin-forming material can be used for sealing, such that it is rapidly cured by irradiation with UV light.
