PURPOSE: To obtain a halation preventing layer excellent in halation preventing ability without requiring erasing colors by incorporating dispersion of silver iodide fine particles as the main component. CONSTITUTION: This halation preventing layer is formed by incorporating dispersion of silver iodide fine particles as the main component. The halation preventing layer is formed on the supporting body side of a photosensitive heat-sensitive layer in which a latent image is formed in a photosetting compsn. by exposure and a component which contributes to developing colors or erasing colors by heat moves according to the latent image to form an image. As for the halation preventing layer, colloidal fine particles of silver iodide can be used among silver halide particle crystals which are well known as silver salt photographic material. Silver iodide has low photosensitivity compared to other silver halide crystals and the photosensitivity further decreases when silver iodide is formed into fine particles so that the silver iodide particles is almost insensitive under normal light. Moreover, the absorption efficiency increases than the scattering efficiency for light when particles are prepared in a more fine state, as the additional effect, the halation preventing effect is further increased. |
