PURPOSE: To prevent the color deterioration, etc., of an image by placing an ink receiving layer composed of a specified inorganic pigment having a specific surface area of a specific value or greater measured by a BET method and a binder resin at least on one side of a support. CONSTITUTION: An ink receiving layer composed chiefly of an inorganic pigment having a specific surface area of 100m<2> /g or larger measured by a BET method and a binder resin is placed at least on one side of a support to make an ink-jet recording sheet. In this process, 30wt.% or larger of the total inorganic pigment mixed into the ink receiving layer is a polyalkylene oxide silane compound which is expressed by the formula (R1 is hydrogen, a 1-4C alkyl group, R2 is methyl, ethyl, β-methoxyethyl group, n is an integer of 1-10) and has a water content defined by JIS K511-21 of 3.0wt.% or less. The cooled water extract pH defined by JIS P8133 of the ink receiving layer is 6-10. |
