PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the prevention of freezing of a hot water supply pipe with minimum energy consumption, making the best use of structure of a hot water supplier provided with multifunction where a heat exchanger and a burner are common. SOLUTION: A one-can and two-waterway type of hot water supplier provided with an additional stoking function (other function) is equipped with a common heat exchanger 5 and a common burner 6 for supplying this heat exchanger 5 with heat of combustion. A hot water supply pipe 10 and an additional stoking pipe 20 pass through this heat exchanger 5. When the temperature detected by a hot water supply temperature sensor 16 provided in the hot water supply pipe 10 falls under the threshold, the water remaining in a bathtub is circulated via the additional stoking pipe 20 by driving a pump 24 provided in the additional stoking pipe 20. Hereby, the heat of remaining water is transmitted to the hot water supply pipe 10 through the heat exchanger 5 so as to prevent the freezing of this hot water supply pipe 10. When there is no remaining water or when the temperature of the remaining water is low, the burner 6 is combusted temporarily.
