PURPOSE: To provide a vibration gyro having excellent impact resistance. CONSTITUTION: Protection pieces 26a, 26b of substantially rectangular shapes extended upward from the centers of the one end and other end in the longitudinal direction are formed at a mounting base 34 by bending the parts of the base 34. Stoppers 46a, 46b having cutouts 48 for protecting the two surfaces via the ridges of a vibrator 12 are fixed to the base 34. Further, the vibrator 12, the base 34 and the stoppers 46a, 46b are contained in a box-shaped case 50. The periphery of the vibrator 12 near both the longitudinal ends is surrounded at predetermined intervals (d) by the stoppers 46a, 46b, the pieces 36a, 36b and the inner surfaces of the case 50 as protective members to be protected. |
