FIELD: direct conversion of mechanical energy to heat carried off by pumped liquid to using equipment. SUBSTANCE: the pump-heat generator may be made as a single- or multi-stage one, depending on the power of the rotation drive and required heat rate. In each stage it has a hollow body and a hollow rotor suspend as a cantilever in the body on the drive shaft, and furnished at least with one means of action on liquid for its heating. To prevent blocking of outlet of heated liquid within a wide range of rotational speed, enhance the adaptability to manufacture, reliability and convenience of service, the pump-heat generator has a body similar to the body of a centrifugal pump, with central suction and tangential delivery branch pipes; the rotor interior has two parts communicating with each other: a central hole that is blind on the drive shaft side, and at least one channel directed from the center to the rotor periphery, whose outlet has an angular displacement reliable to the inlet in the direction opposite to the rotor rotation, and the means of action on liquid for its heating is made is in the form of at least one recess in the peripheral part of the rotor body, outgoing from each channel in the direction opposite to the direction of rotor rotation.
