Wind resistance reducing splitting plate for front or rear of vehicle

The device extends from the front or rear of a vehicle (1) and consists of a splitting plate (2) that can move parallel t the direction of vehicle motion (x). Pref. the plate is moved by a control mechanism (3), dependent on the vehicle operating conditions, to keep wind resistance to a minimum.The plate is connected via an energy absorbing device to the vehicle. Prf. energy absorbing bending points are formed on the plate. The extreme edge of the plate is formed as a bumper.
