<p>Methods and compositions for determining the presence of a phosphorylated amino acid in an intact protein are provided. The methods involve dephosphorylating the phosphorylated amino acid to form a dehydroamino acid and covalently coupling a detectable tag to the dephosphorylated amino acid in the intact protein. The methods and compositions are useful for determining the presence of phosphoserine and phosphothreonine in intact proteins.</p> |
