A compound represented by general formula (1),zor possible stereoisomers and optical isomers thereof, and medicinally acceptable salts of these, (wherein R1 represents SR6 or NR7R8; R6 represents C1-C6 alkyl, etc.; R7 represents hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl or nitro; R8 represents hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl; R2 and R3 represent each hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, etc.; R<4> represents hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl or amidino wherein the amine moiety may be substituted by alkyl or nitro; R5 represents hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl; Y1, Y2, Y3 and Y4 may be the same or different and each represents hydrogen, halogeno, C1-C6 alkoxy, etc.; and n and m represent each an integer of 0 or 1). The compound has a potent nitrogen monoxide synthase inhibitory activity and is useful as a remedy for cerebrovascular disorder.
