PURPOSE: To make it possible to maintain a function to prevent the leakage of liquid of a valve for medical appliances and to prolong the life of this valve by providing a valve insertion part with a recessed part for storing a lubricant. CONSTITUTION: A valve disk 2 is provided with square holes 3 on both upper and lower side of its center and plural recessed parts 4a having a square groove shape are formed radially from these square holes 3. The upper and lower square holes 3 are bored at depths different from plate surfaces 2a, 2b. The recessed parts 4a are formed to incline in such a manner that the central side is made deeper down to the mid-way exclusive of the planes made to remain in the peripheral parts. The respective corner parts 41 at the intersected points of the recessed parts 4a are rounded to an circular arc shape to facilitate guiding of a catheter, etc., at the time of insertion operation of the catheter into the valve disk 2. The lubricant to lubricate the contact part with the catheter is stored in the recessed parts 4a when the catheter is inserted. The lubrication of the insertion part is maintained for a long period. Since the recessed parts 4a are formed on the plate surfaces of the valve disk 2, the insertion parts are made thin and the flexibility of the valve disk 2 is increased. |
