Large-area stereo image presentation using duplicated half-images

The three-dimensional image is divided into two halves (LH,RH) for viewing with the left and right eye respectively. The limitation of the individual image width in conventional systems to about 6.5 cm is overcome by supplementation of both halves of the image.A supplementary left-eye image of identical size is displayed immediately to the left of the stereo image pair, and a supplementary right-eye image immediately to the right. The row of four half-images thus presented may be duplicated with an identical row immediately below it.
