<p>A method of inhibiting nonspecific hybridization of a primer in the reaction of primer extension for forming a nucleic acid strand complementary to the template strand of a nucleic acid with the use of a primer, characterized by conducting the reaction of the primer with the template strand in the presence of a nucleic acid or a derivative thereof that is complementary to the primer and that has an affinity for the primer which is at most equal to the affinity of the primer for the template strand of the nucleic acid.</p> |
