PURPOSE: To achieve high luminance and high efficiency while restraining the discharge voltage to a lower value, by constituting a protective film by a first protective film composed of a first burning body as first oxide and a second protective film composed of a second burning body including powder of second oxide and third oxide. CONSTITUTION: A protective film 17 in a panel has a two-layer structure composed of a first protective film 17a and a second protective film 17b, the first protective 17a is provided on the lower layer side as a dielectric layer 15 side, and the second protective film 17b is provided on the protective film 17a. Since MgO in the second protective film 17b partially exist near the front surface, the deviation of MgO in the whole protective film 17 can be restrained through the first protective film 17a on which there is the existing range of MgO, having the remarkable deviation, and the stable property of the protective film can be obtained. Moreover, low voltage, low current and high efficiency can be simultaneously achieved through the protective film 17a excellent in restraining of discharge voltage. |
