摘要 PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of unnecessary knocking by suppressing the value of ignition timing to be turned to an advancing side, regardless of providing or not exhaust gas recirculation. CONSTITUTION: In an ECU 41, by controlling an EGR device 21 in accordance with an operating condition of an engine 1, an EGR amount in the engine 1 is controlled. In the ECU 41, basic ignition timing is calculated in accordance with an operating condition of the engine 1, and this ignition timing is corrected to an advancing side with a required advance timing value in accordance with the EGR amount, also to correct this corrected ignition timing to a delay timing side with a required delay timing value to the timing in the vicinity of the occurrence of knocking. Further in the ECU 41, this delay timing value is limited to within a range of maximum value calculated in accordance with the operating condition, also to change the delay timing value or maximum value in accordance with the EGR amount. In the ECU 41, based on the calculated final target ignition timing, by controlling an igniter 15, the actual ignition timing is controlled.
