The photosensitive layer 2 contains a bisphenol-Z type polycarbonate and >=85 deg.C glass transition temp. As for the conductive supporting body 1, a material having <=10<10>Ωvolume resistivity is used, and for example, a body produced by depositing an oxide of aluminum or the like on an endless-belt plastic material by vapor deposition or sputtering is used. The photosensitive layer 2 is formed by dissolving a charge producing material such as metal phthalocyanine, a charge transfer material such as chloranil, and a binder resin such as bisphenol-Z polycarbonate in a solvent, and then applying the liquid and drying.
