PURPOSE: To provide a color filter having high accuracy for impact good transparency of pixels and excellent light resistance with little bleeding by incorporating a specified cyan dye into at least one of a blue ink and a green ink. CONSTITUTION: A layer containing a resin compsn. which can be hardened with light or heat is formed on a substrate 1 where a black matrix 2 is formed, and the resin layer is hardened to form an ink accepting layer 3 on the substrate 1. Further, after prebaking if necessary, the layer 3 is colored with inks 5 of R, G, B colors by an ink jet method. In this case, at least a cyan dye selected from C.I. Direct Blue 86, C.I. Direct Blue 87 and C.I. Direct blue 199 is used as a dye used for the green ink or the blue ink. As for the dye for the green ink, a mixture of a cyan dye and a yellow dye is preferably used. |
