PURPOSE: To make the shape of a terminal charging device small and to lower the cost by providing a control means for making a television receiver viewable with a charge or free of charge when the television receiver selects a prescribed charged channel or free channel. CONSTITUTION: When a channel selected by the tuner unit 21 of the television receiver 7 is the VHF channel of a specified charged channel band determined beforehand, a control part 28 times the viewing time of the television receiver 7 by a timer and withdraws units equivalent to the viewing charge of the fixed time of the television receiver 7 from the units of a prepaid card inserted inside this terminal charging device 8 as payment in advance. On the other hand, when it is a free UHF channel, the television receiver 7 is viewed with free of charge without withdrawing the units of the prepaid card. Thus, since the structure is simplified, the shape is made small and the cost is lowered. |
